Read Chapter One of The Rogue

Yesterday I opened my website and let out a little ‘Yippeee!’, because the fab team at Orbit have put up the first chapter of The Rogue for me. I usually put up an extract about a month before a book’s release. This time, because I am crazy busy preparing for Supanova, the Tour and writing The Traitor Queen, they’ve done it for me. Thank you Orbit!

So to read the first chapter of The Rogue, go here.

  1. I absolutely love the series and now that I have read that I have another agonising 3ish weeks to wait! Any chance of getting a sneak peek second chapter…then perhaps the third 😛

  2. I was hoping for a Dannyl centred start to the book, I’m not too keen on Lorkin. But I find the Traitors really interesting. Can’t wait til the book is out to find out how Dan & Tay get on!!!

  3. just pre-ordered from! Love you for writing these!

  4. OMG i LOVED the first chapter. Can’t wait.

  5. An amazing foretaste Trudi!! I’m in awe. I can’t wait for May 4 to read the rest of the book!!

  6. Awesome! Can’t wait to read the first chapter…but I don’t know if it’ll just make it harder to wait for the book to come out.

  7. I simply cannot wait for May to come around anymore…this is gonna drive me nuts!

  8. That’s great! Can wait for the Polish translation of the book! 🙂
One more thing. Trudi, you should totally create a facebook account 🙂 I’m not used to read twitter but it would be great if I could just look at the wall on my facebook page and then see your status updates 🙂 Have you ever thought about it (or I’m missing something and you already have there an account?)?
    Have a nice day!

    • I’ve considered Facebook since lots of my friends are over there, but I really don’t need yet another social media account eating up my time. I have three blogs and a Twitter account, and that’s waaaaay more than enough!

      • Maybe you are right. Facebook is a time eater. I know that from my experience…
I created an account on twitter so I will be always up to date with your statues.
Also you inspired me to avoid using facebook, so from this day I will try hard to do so! 🙂
        Thanks a lot!

  9. And now the age old question….

Read the sneak peek chapter or leave it until I have the whole book to read…

    Decisions, desisions!

  10. Ooo! I read it yesterday and my fingers are already twitching to be turning the pages of the book! One month to go! Cant wait.
