It was pointed out to me that the four screen resolution sizes I’d provided were really just two ratios. So long as you choose the right ratio, the computer should scale down the image to fit the screen. If it doesn’t, let me know and I’ll add a scaled down version.

I would prefer 16:10, whereas you provide 4:3 and 16:9

One disadvantage of studying English Philology in Poland – you have to learn history (British and American; no Australian – I wonder if it’s interesting, what do you think?)
Well, that depends on what you call ‘old’. He’d be in his late teens in this pic. Not too boyish, and a bit on the lean side.
