FUTURE WORLDS So many ideas... After I first sent The Black Magician Trilogy to a publisher, I wrote a stand-alone book called Angel of Storms. It is a multiple world scenario. Sorcerer families travel from one world to the other, trading goods. Each world has a different level of magic, so each family passed down a set path between the world, for if they ended up in a magically poor world they might not have the strength to get out of it again. Marriages are arranged, as the families can’t afford for their magical bloodlines to be weakened, and this does not always sit well with young men and women. I now have ideas for turning this story into yet another trilogy. I have another idea for a young adult horror novel. It is set around a dam that has shrunk, due to drought, to the point that the village that was drowned after the dam's construction is revealed... along with something rather nasty. I've given it the working title of Village of the Dammed for now. There are also a couple of novellas. The first has been sitting in my bottom drawer, with a working title of Soulbearer, for some years. In 2006 I began polishing and expanding it, but was derailed by the house extension troubles we had. I also have been entertaining the idea of writing a novella set in the Black Magician Trilogy world, covering the events that led to the banning of black magic.
