Acrylic on Masonite

A painting of a scene in the second book of my trilogy The Novice. I was having a little trouble getting back into writing after several months break, so I picked up my brushes instead. Painting often helps to draw me back into the world I'm writing about. Once I'd finished, my fingers were itching for the keyboard.

Without giving too much away, the painting shows a scene where Sonea is about to be ambushed by novices of the Magicians' Guild.
