The Ambassador's Mission Delivered!

| | Comments (12)

Yep, I've finally finished beating and polishing it into shape and sent it off to my publisher. Of course, there's a lot to be done before it hits the bookstores, including editing, proofing, printing and shipping. But since this milestone is the one that involves the Big Looming Deadline it always feels like the one that needs the most celebrating.

As always, I don't know when the book is going to hit the stores. All I know is it'll be sometime in the first half of next year. For more a precise date, nag my publisher. (Not me. Believe it or not, it isn't true that the more frequently I'm nagged for a release date the more likely it is that I'll know it. If that was true, I'd be asking everyone to nag me for the answer to much more profound questions about life and the universe.)

Info like release dates, signings and other appearances should appear on the website my publisher created for the purpose - trudicanavan.net - so keep an eye on it.

woot! I can't wait.
I've missed your posts so I'm glad that your reason for not posting lately is work-related and not illness-related.
Have a great time at Worldcon.

good luck! I can't wait for it to be published!(:

Wow :) All the Polish fans can't wait.
Well, I'm so sad that Polish version of AM will be released so late - in the end of 2010.
Have fun at Worldcon!

That's great! Thank you for all the work you've invested into finishing the first book of the new trilogy :)

I just finished the Black Magican trilogy and I loved it. Am a bit sad about the ending of the series, and was stunned to find out that you are going back to Kyralia and Sonea.

So, best wishes to you and hopefully your muse will cooperate for a very long time.

Hugs from Germany.
Claudia

OMFG... sorry to repeat myself with such rude words but OMFG!
I just read the Black Magicians Guild through (well, actually three time...) and I am just in awe!
They are pretty much the best books I've read so far in my life (and there are not just a few I can assure you!), I think only the storys of Lovecraft or Prattchet can come close/or even surpass them.
Honestly I don't know what to praise most of your books, but rest assured that I will hurry and buy the rest of your books (I know I sound a bit repetetiv but honestly it was an honour to read such books!)
Well the waiting time is a bit long but rather I have one of the best books of my life late then another generic Fantasy Novel early

Greetings from Germany and I whish you luck in your future endevours!

how exciting! I've just discovered the black magicians trilogy, and I'm so excited to hear that you've finish the first of the sequal trilogy. I'm going to be haunting my local bookstore to find out when the come out in the UK!

Great, I just preorded the book, can't wait to read it.

Congratulations on another novel completed!

I've been trying to email you, but you're now so popular your old email address doesn't work!

I was hoping to get in touch so I could hit you up for a favour. I'm a still at the same address (which should be attached to this comment) if you'd like to get in contact.

Best wishes

Dan Abnett
